My name is John and i live in the heart of England, i have been photographing landscapes for 51 of my 74 years.

Timeless is a shot of a hay meadow taken at 4.30am with a heavey dew on the grass, and a high air moisture content, which enhances colour saturation and light reflection, this with the low sun gives it its timeless qualities.

I was interested in putting together a landscape shot with a deep dynamic range so took a multiple exposure and mixed the sunlight/shadows over a corn field. Processing was based on a 300 style showing sun burnt highlights and deep shadows.

Taken with a Nikon D300 and Tokina 11-16mm f2.8

The church was built between 1863 and 1868 by the architect Theodore Ballu. It's a new-romanic building. The church is famous in France to be occupied from “sans papiers”, the immigrantes.
