This shot was taken in Maldives. It shows calm before the storm, the sky was weird and the wind was soft, previewing another day in paradise.

Hennaed head
I am a social anthropologist and henna artist located in Berlin, Germany. I specialise in floral Gulf-style patterns which are derived from Khidab paintings I saw during a field research in Yemen.
At the moment I have a client who is undergoing chemotherapy. Instead of wearing a wig she wanted me to henna her bald head with flowers. She particularly likes hibiskus and so I created for her this design in which the hibiskus is prominent.

I take this photo on a little station nearby Düsseldorf (Germany).
I make it with a Canon EOS 450D. It's my hobby to make photos.

Jamesville Balloon Fest 2009 - Jamesville, NY
The picture was taken at the 30th Annual Jamesville
Balloon Fest at Jamesville Beach Park which is located about 10 miles south of downtown Syracuse New York.
This particular picture was taken on June 14th about 45 minutes before sunset. The sky was mostly cloudy all day and I was worried that it would not clear up in time to get any decent shots, however the sky cleared up nicely about a half hour before the balloons launched.
given up...
Another abandoned barn in Alberta. This one is just off the Yellow head heading north toward Whitecourt.
Very difficult lighting, there was a thunderhead that came overhead, but the sun was still shining on the clouds in the distance.
All comments welcome. Please do not use my photos for any reasons without my written permission. Thanks!
I'm an amateur photographer. I got my first SLR 8 months ago. I enjoy taking photos of my surroundings and try to keep my camera on me at all times.I welcome all feedback and constructive criticism.

Djinn of Aladdin's Lamp
There was the best weather of the year last Sunday. Outstanding visibility, fantastic clouds and many short storms. I was hiking in Central Bohemia between Tynec nad Sazavou and Konopiste and this is probably the most spectacular cloud I've managed to capture during the trip. Doesn't it look like the djinni of Aladdin's lamp?

Sun Palette
The sun awakes from slumber
And paints the palette sky
Of crimson red and amber
Beyond our world so high.

St. Vitus Cathedral
Every where one turns in the city of Prague you will find a photo opportunity. It is the most photographic city I have ever been to. Saint Vitus's Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church built in Gothic Architecture Style around the 1350's. The ceiling is fascinating with its zigzag interlocking vaulted bays running down the length of the cathedral. The cathedral is found within the Prague Castle Compound and can be seen through out the city standing tall and beautiful on top of the castle hill. For more information you may use this link:

In my garden...
...some succulents. They are also called FAT PLANTS. With the right light (like here, the light at sunrise) and the different shades of green (or even yellow and red) they make nice motifs for pictures.
Red bridge to your heart
Mark Forman has been living in Taiwan for 22 years but has only begun photography this past year. This is the red bridge in Taichung Park-the biggest park in Taichung, Taiwan, Taiwan's 3rd largest city. Hope you continue to view my images and provide feedback-thanks.

eyeballs
It was taken with a Canon G9 at The Suntrap Garden Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland 10 days ago. A beautiful sunny day that was very hot for Scotland.
It is a tame Snowy Owl. Didn't like getting too close, but needs must.
I am a total amatuer but love my photography. My other camera is a Canon Eos 450D.
