I shoot this when I was walking on the street. I saw this old man bringing lot of stuff and trying to rest on some place.
I used HDR in post process and put little bit of color.

On a Saturday in mid November 2009, I threw my camera in a backpack and rode my bike on a little photo safari. This was one of the first shots I took with my new Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 DX lens for Nikon which I had just purchased the day before. I'm very fortunate as a photographer to live in a beautiful area west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I'm really looking forward to this spring and summer to get more experience at landscape photography.

This picture was taken on one of the many sideroads on my hour drive to work. 90 degrees behind me taking this picture was the mad rush on the highway. I thought the contrast was great. Simple peaceful beauty out one window and cars whizzing by out the other.

This photo was taken on march 8, 2010, in Badalona, a city 10 km away from Barcelona, Spain.

It's not really common for us to snow, so, when a pretty strong snow storm hit us and while half the province was struggling trough horrible traffic jams that lasted for the whole day, some armed themselves with umbrellas, warm clothes and raincoats, wandered down to the beach and admired the stunning views.

Last year I spent the winter teaching in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. During my time there I twice got to visit the amazing rock-hewn city of Petra in Jordan, one of the new Seven World Wonders.

This picture of the so-called "Monastery" was taken the second time. While the famous "Treasury" looks splendid already and offers a spectacular approach through al-Siq, I prefer the quieter al-Deir or Monastery. Perched on the plain high up at the end of the canyon, it looks east towards Saudi Arabia. Due to the demanding climb up, a lot of tourists don't even make it up here.

I'm a beginning Belgian photographer, following my nose around the world. I try bringing back interesting pictures from the places I get to visit, in order to show those places to as many people as possible.

Duisburg, a city in the western part of Germany and situated at the Rhine, is Europe’s most important inland harbour.
The so called Inside Harbour is today a center for recreation and a location for service companies.
The photo was shot in the morning of a windless and sunny summer day in 2009 and displays a part of the Marina Duisburg.

To my person: I am a photographic enthusiast, but still a beginner after a break of some years.

Sunny girl

This shot was taken in Nepal, and the little girl in question was delightful, very happy was fascinated in the camera and didnt mind a bit that she was the centre of attention (one comment i received on flickr was tha\t the shot was too exploitative) and i got really lucky with the light, it was about 3pm (sun sets at 5pm). The reason i think the shot works so well, aside from the light, is the angle, i got down to her height, which makes all the difference on portraits of children in my experience, a lesson I learnt from this shot!!

the photo was taken at sundown, so the transaction from the light from the bottom left, and the darker corner in the upper right turned out to be just what the photo needed. although it is a great photo i feel the composition could of been improved.
