I woke up at 3:30 a.m. and drove two hours in order to be set up before sunrise. I then laid on my belly in the mud for about an hour photographing Virginia Rails and Soras.

It was taken looking over at the sea on a beautiful sunny day with a hint of a breeze. The sepia idea came about because I wanted to express the warmth I was feeling.

About myself - I picked up a camera 2 years ago as a way to help overcome depression that I had been suffering with for 15 years, I haven't looked back, nor have I ever put my camera down :) my camera means more to me than a piece of equipment, it is my link with nature & life.

Scene of village of daylily field, located at Sixty Stone Mt., Fu-li Town, Hua-Lien Eastern of Taiwan(DSC_1402BBBQA). Once in a year, by mid of August, we drove over 500 miles visting these village when harvest of daylily flower. Nice weather, nice view and with nice friends. It's a great holiday.

About myself, brucekf is account name on Flickr, Bruce is my real name and K.F. is the initial of my Chinese name, My family name is Chen. I am citizen of Taiwan and living in Taipei. Wish more people know more about scenery of this Formosa Island - Taiwan.

I was on a holiday at the Perhentian Islands, Malaysia, with my wife. I found those stairs at one end of the beach and I thought they would be cool place for some light graffiti experiments. So, one evening after eating some nice Malay food we went there, put the camera on tripod, ran the stairs up and down with flashlight several times in +30C heat, took some photos and got so sweat.

I was driving home from Marin County through San Francisco when on a whim I decided to take the scenic route and stop at Baker Beach. I hadn't been there in many years and I was fortunate that even with such a clear and beautiful day, the crowds had gone home early. It was early evening and the sun was low in the sky, so I had perfect light. Everything just worked out.

The photo depicts the reflecting pool in Arrowhead Canyon, a tributary of Coyote Gulch approximately 3.5 mi upcanyon from the Escalante River. I got down on my belly to get the camera as close to the waterline as possible. I took and cropped the photo to be a desktop and had no idea it would gain such popularity on Flickr.

This photo was taken on the last morning of my four day trip to Grand Canyon National Park. The location was Grandview Point, which I found to be the best spot for sunrises in the park. I was very lucky to have had such amazing light to work with while I was there.
