Inside the Ngorongoro Caldera
A caldera is a cauldron-like volcanic feature usually formed by the collapse of land following a volcanic eruption and are sometimes confused with volcanic craters.

Cattle at a Foggy Dawn
At times when I go out shooting and the light just isn't right, I will drive around and scope out future locations. Last Fall I went out one morning and realized that I had left my memory card at home. Without a camera, I drove through the countryside searching for interesting locations. I came across this small creek, Jack's Branch, in central Hill County, Texas.
Just last Sunday morning I awoke to a very heavy fog -- a rarity in my part of Texas. I decided to drive out to this location and as luck would have it, several cattle were lingering beside the creek. As I always say, photography is 2% skill and 98% luck.

South Downs walkers
Walkers in the South Downs, England's latest National Park. The clouds above the field caught my eye and while composing these walkers suddenly appeared on the top of the down...

My favorite bird
I set up my tripod, camera, and a chair for myself. Sat in comfort and watched my favorite bird come land for a visit and a snack. Such a joy to behold these wonderful little winged wonders!

Out There
(photo: El Guisante Verde Project)
It was taken in "Las Bardenas Reales", Navarra, Spain, a truly interesting place. It's a desert, but in the rainy north of Spain! Reminds me of Capadocia in Turkey.
