At times when I go out shooting and the light just isn't right, I will drive around and scope out future locations. Last Fall I went out one morning and realized that I had left my memory card at home. Without a camera, I drove through the countryside searching for interesting locations. I came across this small creek, Jack's Branch, in central Hill County, Texas
.
Just last Sunday morning I awoke to a very heavy fog -- a rarity in my part of Texas. I decided to drive out to this location and as luck would have it, several cattle were lingering beside the creek. As I always say, photography is 2% skill and 98% luck.
